Councillor to stand down in frustration
An established Sandb-ach town councillor will not be standing in May’s elections after expressing frustrations at “ignorant” people he has worked with and “disappointing” attendance at meetings from others.
Coun Keith Haines, who represents Labour, has served on Sandbach Town Council for eight years in total over two separate terms. He served as mayor during a tumultuous year when the council came under heavy criticism over scrapped plans for a revamp of the indoor market hall.
