A special service to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day will be held in Holmes Chapel today (Thursday).
A number of wreaths will be laid by community group representatives during a service at St Luke’s Church.
The service will start at 10.30am and wreaths will be layed at 11am.
According to the Royal British Legion, there are no events organised in Sandbach to mark the anniversary of the Normandy landings.
Operation Overlord, on 6th June 1944, was the largest seaborne invasion in history and marked the beginning of liberation of Europe from the Nazis.
