Driving disqualification for drinker
A 20-year-old who drunk-drove on Elton Road has been fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
Hannah Potts, of Kilmorie, Elton Road, Sandbach, was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa on 1st July when she was breathalysed, recording 57mcgms of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgms.
South and East Cheshire Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Crewe on 19th July, ordered her to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge to fund victim services of £30.
The disqualification will be reduced by 15 weeks if by 3rd April 2019 she satisfactorily completes a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
