Fourteen complaints about council upheld
Justified complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman about Cheshire East were slightly better than average, the national watchdog’s annual report has said.
The report shows that 14 complaints against Cheshire East Council were upheld, or 50% of complaints investigated, compared to an average of 55% in similar authorities.
Neighbouring Staffor-dshire Moorlands District Council only had two complaints lodged against it for the same period — 1st April 2018 to 31st March —and neither of these were upheld. This compared to an average of 43% in similar authorities.
