Fundraising effort soared after epic flight grounded
A Sandbach couple whose bid to fly around the world for charity failed to take off has still managed to raise £18,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Jim and Dot Jones had planned to make their epic journey in a single engine aircraft — but had to be grounded due to a health condition Mr Jones developed.
Their adventure was due to take to the skies, beginning from Liverpool.
