‘Girl with a watering can’ brightens up train station
A “stunning” new mural has been unveiled at Sandbach Train Station by the volunteer community group that looks after the area.
The Friends of Sandbach Station acquired the funding from ACoRP — the umbrella organisation for community rail partnerships — to go towards the mural and the accompanying planter, which were unveiled on Monday.
Cheshire-based mural artist Joanna Perry created the artwork on the side of the station building, which depicts a young girl pouring a watering can onto a bed of flowers.
