Gypsies and Travellers site proposal could be revived
Council chiefs could have a battle on their hands if they revive plans to build a transit site for Gypsies and Travellers at Cledford Hall in Middlewich.
Cheshire East Council confirmed last week that it was considering whether to pursue the plans again, after its planning permission for the site expired last year, (writes local democracy reporter Stephen Topping).
Crewe and Nantwich councillors recently called on Cheshire East to take action following a recent rise in illegal encampments across their wards.
