Health centre expansion plan parking worry
An application to expand Holmes Chapel Health Centre has been supported — despite reservations over par-king issues.
The health centre, on London Road, is currently waiting for a decision on its plan to build a single storey extension that would include a further seven consulting rooms and a resuscitation room.
The extension, which practice manager Paul Carroll said “makes sense”, will be funded by NHS grants money and £107,000 of section 106 money received from Russell Homes in 2016.
Section 106 funding is money contributed by developers to improve local infrastructure.
Mr Carroll added that the larger health centre would look to employ more nurses and GPs to cope with the increasing population in the village.
