‘Huge error’ in traffic flow report
Sandbach councillors will “chivvy Cheshire East up” over a traffic report that included a “huge error” which was used to inform planning decisions.
The VISSIM report was commissioned by Cheshire East to look at the outcomes of traffic analysis in 2016 at the request of residents.
It has been under scrutiny due to suspicion that the projected figure of 7% was too low. It has since been confirmed that this is the case and that a “spreadsheet error” was the reason behind this.
The true figure is projected to be 19–21%.
