MP tight-lipped on choice for new PM
Congleton’s MP Fiona Bruce has twice declined to reveal publicly for whom she will be voting as the next Conservative prime minister.
With only Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt left in the race, Mrs Bruce remained tight-lipped when approached by the Chronicle.
On Friday, Mrs Bruce said: “I am not making any comment on who I will be voting for in the final round.”
She then reaffirmed her support for Sajid Javid, despite his elimination from the leadership contest last Thursday.
