Opponents lash out at homes and shops plan

A planning application for a housing, shops and restaurants develo-pment would be “commercial suicide” for Sandbach if it was approved and would impact on 15% of the town’s footpaths. 
These were just some of the concerns raised during a town council Planning Committee meeting on Monday during which Muller Property Group’s application for a £40m development including a supermarket and 96 homes was criticised by members of the public and town councillors.
