Plan for ‘exceptional’ and ‘sustainable’ home refused

Plans for a house located between two blind bends on a rural road have been refused because it would not be a “sustainable development” in an “isolated location”.
Alan Bebbington submitted an outline application to Cheshire East Council for a three-bedroom property at Dean Hill, Newcastle Road, Betchton.
The proposal sought to develop a “unique dwelling that was truly innovative and outstanding” in terms of its design and energy saving features.
