Sandbach indoor market enjoys a grand reopening
Residents, councillors and entertainers were out in force to mark the grand reopening of Sandbach’s indoor market following its refurbishment.
After 18 months of work by the market hall project team, the ribbon was cut to mark the reopening of the indoor market on Thursday, following a facelift costing more than £200,000.
The work included full redecoration, new internal roofing and the installation of automatic doors, improved lighting and key signage.
A major element of the redecoration was artworks printed onto the shutters. The pictures were provided by the Minshull archives and date back to the 1800s.
