School has spent £250k to improve pupil safety
Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School’s has spent a quarter of a million pounds improving pupil safety, the school’s annual report shows, with a further £500,000 still needing to be spent.
The report said that during 2017/18 the academy continued to make “significant infrastructure invest-ments”.
The governing board approved “significant” spending to address key risks around student safety and safeguarding. The £250,000 investment included the design and build of a new school reception, further investment in security fencing, improved CCTV, additional computer classroom capacity and better access around the school for students.
