Single-use plastics to be banished from Sandbach

Sandbach councillors are taking steps to make their town single-use plastic-free within the next few years.
Couns David Jack and Laura Crane have both been undertaking separate ventures to encourage businesses, residents and their fellow councillors to do away with single-use plastics and they are discussing how they can combine their campaigns.
Since last month’s local elections, Cheshire East Council has declared a climate emergency and in Alsager, the town council has set up its own single-use plastics working group, which aims to change the attitudes of people in the town.
