Sweets stallholder ‘had a heart of gold’
Tributes have been paid to a Sandbach trader with “a heart of gold” who died recently.
David Reed, (45), ran a stall selling sweets at the town’s indoor market. He had epilepsy and would cycle from his Macclesfield home to Sandbach to man his pitch.
His body was discovered in Macclesfield Canal near Barracks Lane, Macclesfield, by a passer-by on 12th July.
A tribute left at the scene by his family states that Mr Reed was walking his dog along the canal bank when he had an epileptic seizure and fell into the canal.
