Majestic Mort shone as Mossley fell to defeat
Mossley 2nd XI were roundly beaten by opponents Heaton Mersey Village on Saturday (writes Barry Carney).
Put into bat, the opponents made a steady start despite some accurate and pacey bowling from Andy Grange. The muggy conditions and at times the unpredictable bounce were used to good advantage by Grange who made a much-needed breakthrough with the score on 45. Vinroy Jowery, who had risked his arm, accumulated 33 runs before being bowled by Grange.
