In the absence of a scheduled game, the Bears accepted an invitation from Rylands FC to play a friendly on Friday evening, and to celebrate the unveiling of their new floodlights (writes Mike McLaughlin).
Rylands are based at the Rylands Recreation Club, Warrington. They were formed in 1911 as a local works (wire manufacturing) team.
In the 2012-13 season, while in the Mid-Cheshire League, they reorganised themselves and decided to seriously develop, to such good effect that they were admitted to the NWCFL Division One South for the 2018-19 season.
