Moore 9-hole cup draws 50 golfers
Nine-hole golf courses have many attractions. Being able to get nine holes in after work quite easily is one of them; another is the ability to run a competition like the Moore Cup (writes David Garrigan).
This competition is played over the toughest nine holes on the course, but with competitors playing each hole twice and recording their lowest score for each hole. So getting a decent score the first time round is important to give the option of really going for it on the second circuit.
