Triton Hockey Club match reports

(Premier Division)
Triton Men’s 1s moved up to second in the North West Premier League with a terrific win away at Golborne.
The visitors had the better of the opening exchanges but just missed the final ball in the approach.
Things clicked when Ryan Griffiths won a penalty corner that he converted via a deflection.
Triton only had to wait a further five minutes for a second; Griffiths again converting as Triton moved the ball around the pitch, with seven or eight players involved in the build-up.
It was a tough end to the half and during this period, JP Dodd made two great saves in the Triton goal to preserve a clean sheet at half-time.
In the second half, Triton came under more pressure, but Triton’s rear guard of Cooper, Fitton, Trenbirth, Currie and Austin held.
