Biddulph Running Club
Biddulph Running Club was certainly out in force last weekend (9th June) at one of the most popular races in the club’s calendar — the Potters ‘Arf, sponsored by The Hanley Building Society (writes Gillian Horne).
The race followed the usual route starting and finishing outside the Potteries Shopping Centre.
It took in 13.1 miles of roads surrounding the local area including Shelton, Longton, Bentilee and Abbey Hulton with the challenging climb up Milton’s “Heartbreak Hill” coming just a couple of miles before the end.
As usual there was a fantastic atmosphere surrounding the whole race with locals lining the streets and offering their support to every runner as they came past.
