News from Congleton Harriers
Bryan Lomas was in action on Wednesday at the Bamford Carnival Fell Race, which forms part of the Bamford Wakes week in the Peak District.
The 4.5-mile route went from Bamford to the summit of Win Hill and back with a total ascent of 1,001ft. Lomas finished 34th out of 201 runners in a time of 36.06.
Two Congleton Harriers were in action in Macclesfield Forest at the Forest Five Fell race (5.09 miles to be exact with a 1,055ft of ascent). Out of the 151 runners, Brian Evans finished an impressive 8th; 1st in the M55 category and 3rd vet runner overall in a time of 35.27. Accompanying Evans at the event was Paul Steel who also had a strong run, finishing 54th in 43.52.
