Travel Plus National League Champions and KO Cup winners Eastbourne Eagles won 52-38 against Buxton Hitmen in the Hitmen’s final meeting of the season at Hi-Edge Raceway on Sunday afternoon.
Things started well for the Hitmen with a 5-1 in heat two from reserves Corban Pavitt and Kieran Douglas over Nick Laurence to take the lead early on. Eastbourne reduced the Hitmen’s lead in the next heat with a 4-2 from Mark Baseby and Ethan Spiller. Home skipper Tom Woolley split the Eagles’ partnership.
Ben Wilson took his second race win of the afternoon beating Tom Brennan and Pavitt took third to give the Hitmen a 14-10 lead after four races.
