Congleton Lawn Tennis Club
Saturday sees the return of the Town Mayor’s Charity Tournament. It will be an American tournament in aid of the charities supported by the new town mayor, Coun Sally-Ann Holland.
Players must sign in by 1.45pm for play to start at 2pm. The entry fee is £5 per person with all proceeds going to the mayor’s charities. The entrance fee also covers strawberries and cream for each player.
This year’s event has been sponsored by Tiffin, of Congleton, which has provided vouchers so that each winner can enjoy a three-course meal for two at the restaurant.
