Due to bad weather the 2019 Town Mayor’s Charity Tournament was moved from Saturday to Sunday at Congleton Lawn Tennis Club.
The event was sponsored by Tiffin, of Congleton who provided meal vouchers for the winners The event was staged as an American tournament (round robin mixed doubles in which participants are initially paired at random), and was started by the new town crier Paul Bates calling all the competitors to the clubhouse for the drawing of the partnerships.
