Cedars Medical Centre in Alsager has praised Sandy Lewis, who has retired after 40 years of “dedicated service”.
Posting on social media, the centre said Sandy has been “a familiar and friendly face to countless patients and colleagues” over the years, playing a “vital role” both at the front desk and behind the scenes.
The surgery posted: “Her commitment, hard work and warm nature have made her an integral part of the practice’s heart and soul. Colleagues and patients alike have expressed their gratitude for Sandy’s loyalty and support over the decades, noting that she will be greatly missed.”
It added: “We would like to thank Sandy for her loyalty and commitment over four decades. She will be greatly missed by colleagues and patients alike. Wishing you a very happy retirement filled with relaxation, happiness, and lots of new adventures.”
Michaela Meakin, a former colleague, posted on social media: “Happy retirement to a lovely lady. It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside you for the past three years. You light up a room with your fun and loving nature and you will be missed – my best wishes for the future.”
Ms Lewis herself posted: “Thank you all for your lovely messages. Much appreciated. Now onto my next chapter.” Cedars Medical Centre also reminded members of the community to look out for one another as temperatures dropped.
The practice encourages everyone to check in on older neighbours, friends, and family members, ensuring they had enough food and support to stay well during the colder months.
