COTTERILL (Mark). Mark passed away peacefully on Thursday, 26th February 2026, at East Cheshire Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Loving son of Eileen and Alan; cherished husband of Karen; loving dad to Emma and Hannah and their partners Gareth and James, and a much-loved granddad to Jack, Alfie, Benjamin, Harvey, Katie and Noah. Mark will be remembered for his friendly smile, kind nature and the love for his family, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Macclesfield Crematorium at 2pm on Tuesday, 24th March. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Mark’s life. DOWELL (Valerie June). Passed away peacefully on 4th March 2026, Valerie, aged 87 years, of Sandbach. The beloved wife of William; much-loved mum to Ian and Colin, and a cherished grandma. HULME (Stephen, “Steve” 10-1-1956). Peacefully at rest 1st March 2026 in the loving arms of his daughter Joanne, Stephen, age 70, of Brown Lees. A much-loved and devoted dad to Joanne; a cherished father-in-law to Jason; beloved granddad of Sean; a special brother, uncle and great uncle Sleeven, and friend to many. LEE (Maureen). The family of Maureen Lee sadly announce her passing on the 9th February 2026, aged 82. A beloved mum to Angie and Steve; nana to Lydia, Kira and Will, and great grandmother to baby Skye. Dearly loved by family and all her friends. SPROSTON (Joseph, “Joe”). At rest on Tuesday, 10th March 2026, at Clayton Manor Care Home, Joe, aged 93 years of Congleton. The devoted and beloved husband of the late Lil; treasured dad of Andrew and the late David; cherished father-in-law to Lynnette; dearest granddad of Sarah and the late Daniel; a much-loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle, and a dear friend and neighbour to many. Joe was a true gentleman who will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. The funeral service will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday, 30th March at 10.40 am. TWEATS (Malcolm). Malcolm passed away gently and quietly on Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, aged 79 years, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, with his loving wife Caroline by his side. He was the cherished husband of Caroline; dad to Matthew and Oliver and stepdad to Gary; much-loved granddad of William and Ella, and respected brother to Sheila. Malcolm will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humour, love of gardening and his greenhouse, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, at noon on Tuesday, 31st March. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Malcolm’s life.
