The RSPCA Macclesfield, South East Cheshire and Buxton Branch has issued a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Bark in the Park at Congleton Park on Sunday “such a success”.

The event attracted 200 entries, with dogs and their families coming together to enjoy a fun-filled day while supporting animals in the branch’s care.

The branch thanked sponsors Timothy A Brown, HJ Lea Oakes and Adelphi.

Special thanks went to Coun Suzy Firkin, Congleton mayor, for her support of the event and for attending, and to Andy Hofton, who provided the music and entertainment.

An organiser said: “Events like this rely on the generosity of local businesses, grant providers, volunteers and the wider community.

The support shown on the day helps the branch continue its work caring for animals and finding them loving new homes.

“With 200 dogs entering the show, it was wonderful to see so many local people coming together to celebrate their four-legged friends while raising vital funds for animals in need.

“The branch would like to thank everyone who entered, volunteered, sponsored, supported or simply came along.

“Your support really does make a difference.”
