BROWN (Betty Doreen). Peacefully on 10th December 2025, at Priesty Fields Care Home, Betty Doreen, aged 95 years of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late William “Bill” Brown; a loving aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt and a dear friend to many. The cortege is to leave Alan Finneron Funeral Directors, 32, West Street, Congleton, on Friday, 16th January 2026 at 10am for a service at St Stephen’s Church, Congleton, at 10.15am, prior to committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. Will relatives please accept this the only intimation, and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Parkinson’s Disease Society. DULSON (neé Davies, June Marcia). Passed away peacefully at home, aged 90 years. June, devoted wife of the late Gerald; much-loved mother to Julie and mother-in-law to John; dearly loved sister of Tony and the late Mercia; treasured aunt to Paul and great auntie to Daniel, Grace, Charlie and Lily, companion to George, and a friend to many. The funeral service is at St Peter’s Church, Minshull Vernon, on Monday, 5th January 2pm, followed by burial in the churchyard. GARNETT (Pauline Mary, née Horsfall). Pauline passed away peacefully on Monday, 15th December 2025 at Manor Care Home surrounded by her loving family, aged 82. She as the cherished wife of Graham; loving mum to Angela and Emma; a much-loved nan to Shay and Sam; cousin of Gordon and Jill; sister-in-law to Tony, and auntie to Jim and Deb, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Pauline will be remembered for her warm personality, her friendly smile and her Yorkshire accent. She always retained a warmth of feeling for Southowram, West Yorkshire, where she grew up. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the brilliant team at Manor Care Home, who said that Pauline’s was one of the gentlest passings they had ever witnessed. At the request of the family, a private cremation will take place, and no funeral service will be held. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolence and cards that have been sent. HUNTER (Mary, née Millar). Of your charity please pray for the repose of the soul of Mary, from Biddulph, formerly of Sterling, Scotland, who died peacefully while in the loving care of her family on 7th December 2025, aged 88 years. She was the dearly beloved wife of the late Denzil; devoted mum to Rosemarie, Ann, Catherine and John; a dearest mother-in-law to Stephen, William, Stephen and Joanne; a loving and much-loved grandma to Nicola, Daniel, Robert, Anne-Marie, Christopher, Thomas, Paul, Ben, Katie; great-grandma to Nathan, Chloe, Billy, Frankie, Henry, Charlie and River; a dear sister to the late James and sister-in-law to the late Morag, and a much-loved auntie and best friend to Muriel. Mary will be truly missed and was fortified with the rites of the Holy Catholic Church RIP on whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Reception into English Martyr’s RC Church, Biddulph, on Sunday, 18th January at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday, 19th January at 11am, followed by interment at Biddulph Town Cemetery.
