A retired firefighter will once again be selling unique poppies in the run-up to Remembrance Day to raise money for the Royal British Legion, with outlets in Alsager and Biddulph.
Kelvin Chell, who served Staffordshire communities for over 50 years, has been selling poppies for the last four years. His last campaign raised £43,078.
The poppies are being sold for £3.50 each at different locations across Staffordshire and in Alsager. This year, there are a dozen different designs to choose from.
All profits raised will be donated to the Royal British Legion, which provides lifelong support to serving and ex-personnel of the Armed Forces.
Mr Chell said: “The support for my poppy campaign has been amazing and last year I was blown away by the amount of money raised.
“This year I have introduced nine new designs so please do help us to raise funds for an important cause.”
