BLOOR (John Steven). Passed away peacefully on 23rd July 2026, at Royal Stoke University Hospital, with his loving family by his side, John, aged 73 years of Knypersley. The devoted husband of Elaine; dearly loved dad of Lorraine, Nicola, Jonathan and Abigail; a much-loved father-in-law of Nigel, Mark, Sally and David; a dearly loved and very much adored granddad of Heather, Harry, John, Kathryn, Lawrie, Bodhi, Polly, Grace and Rose, and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. John will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his loving family and many cherished friends. BOWYER (Joyce). Passed away peacefully on 30th June 2026, at St Michael’s Care Home in Chell, with her loving family by her side, Joyce, aged 94 years young. BRINTON (Timothy James). Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 27th June at The Westbourne Care Home, Timothy, aged 83 years of Congleton. The devoted husband of Julie; cherished dad of Sally and Matthew; loved father-in-law of Andrew and Kathryn, and treasured granddad of Barnaby, Lily, Daniel, Anastasia, Harry and Olivia. Timothy will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends. BROWN (Julian). Died, 13th July 2026, aged 75. The husband of the late Lynda Brown. Succumbed to an incurable disease and finally rested at Fechan Nursing Home, Llangollen, Denbighshire. Originally from North Rode and after retiring moved to Aberdyfi, Meirionnydd. Educated at The King’s School in Macclesfield, where most of the male Brown family attended since the 1930s. A jocular person and always full of life and leader at any party. He spent his working life in sales and marketing, firstly with John Player Ltd then Shell-Mex BP and finally for many years with Stanley Press Equipment of Macclesfield. Retiring in Aberdyfi, he indulged in his sailing life, owning several cruiser yachts and captained racing teams. Politically he was a staunch Conservative and didn’t suffer fools. He lovingly leaves two sons, Benjamin Brown and Dr Sebastian Brown; his brother Tim Brown and sisters-in-law Pauline Brown and Abigail Brown; grandchildren Harry and Eleanor Brown; nephews, nieces and cousins Carolyn Gittins, Stephen Guildford, Jayne Fisher, Liz Dean, Tom Brown, Amy Niedzwiedka and Meriel Riseley. The immediate family has prescribed a private cremation, but there will be a wake at Dyfi Yacht Club, Aberdyfi, Meirionnydd, for family and close friends at a date to be announced. CLARKE (Ernest Arthur). Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 7th July 2026 at Macclesfield Hospital, Ernest, aged 83 years, a former Congleton Town Mayor. Husband of the late Joyce; much-loved dad of Mark and Michelle; dear father-in-law of Anne, and cherished granddad of Tyler and Lily.
