On Thursday, 26th August, Alsager Golf and Country Club Jazz Society welcomes back popular tenorman Liam Byrne.
Byrne has a reputation as a torchbearer of the tenor saxophone tradition, with a warm sound and understated approach inspired by the likes of Lester Young and Ben Webster. He has performed alongside leading British jazz musicians including Alan Barnes, Digby Fairweather, Bruce Adams and Roy Williams.
Leading the rhythm section with be Andrzej Baranek on keys, joined by house musicians Peter Robinson (bass) and Roger Keay (drums).
It starts at 8pm at the golf club (ST7 2UR). All are welcome. Admission is £5 at the door and there will be a raffle.
