BALL (George Joseph). Peacefully passed away after a long illness on Monday, 1st September aged 86 years, of Astbury. The much-loved husband of Rosemary; dear dad of Charles and Vesta, and much-loved grandparent of Joseph. The funeral service is to be held at New Life Church, Congleton, on Friday, 3rd October at 1pm. Please join the family in wearing something colourful. Black attire not necessary. BEECH (Lawson, “Stuart”). Peacefully on 5th September 2025, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Lawson, “Stuart”, aged 84 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of Isabel; Loving dad of Andrew and the late David; dear father-in-law of Dawn and Angela; cherished granddad of Emma, Lucy, Sarah, David, William, Christopher and Richard; treasured great-granddad and a dear brother of Ian. The cortege is to leave his home on Monday, 29th September at 10.40am for a service and interment at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, at 11am. BURROW (Neil Robert). It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Neil Robert Burrow on Monday, 11th August 2025, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, aged 66 years, and of Congleton. He was the much-loved partner of Karen; cherished and loved dad of Tom and Esther and stepdad of Emily and Jenna; dearly loved son of Jean and the late Robert (Bob), and loved brother of Lynn. Also, a cherished father-in-law, grandpa and uncle who will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who loved and knew him. By the family’s request, a private funeral service took place at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday, 11th August. HATTON (Philip). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on 9th August 2025, of Philip Andrew Hatton, aged 79 years, of Gosport, Hampshire. He was the dearly loved husband of Pamela; loving father of James and Jane; dear father-in-law to Tracy and Paul, and a devoted granddad to Holly and Bo. HILL (Sandra Margaret, née Micklewight). Passed away on Thursday, 4th September 2025 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Sandra, aged 80 years, of Biddulph formerly of Congleton and Middlesbrough. The devoted wife of the late David; cherished mum of Jonathan and Christopher; loved mother-in-law of Natalie; treasured nanny of Dan and Katie, and a very dear sister of David. PRIME (Janet Cunningham). Passed away peacefully on Friday, 22nd August 2025 at Bradwell Court Residential Care Home, Congleton, Janet, aged 91 years of Congleton. The devoted and loved wife of the late Alf and a loving support to Alf’s children and grandchildren, and a very dear auntie and sister-in-law.
