Congleton Museum has announced the return of its popular Roman Week, running February half-term from 18th to 21st.
The four-day event offers an action-packed programme for the whole family, bringing the ancient world to life right in the heart of Congleton.
Each day of the event will feature different activities focused on a specific aspect of Roman history. Visitors are encouraged to return throughout the week to explore the various daily themes, which include:
• Daily life and hygiene
• Roman roads
• Coins and hoards
• Clothing and military dress
• Roman alphabet and numerals.
In addition to the daily changing activities, a museum hunting trail will be available throughout the entire event, providing a fun and interactive way for children to explore the museum’s permanent collections.
In line with the museum’s mission to make history accessible to all, entry to Roman Week is completely free.

• The museum is recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver the programme. Get in touch at info@congletonmuseum.co.uk.
