Oxfam in Congleton has appealed for help after its “very large” red Biffa general waste bin went missing from behind the shop, at 27, High Street.
According to Biffa it was emptied as usual very early but had disappeared by mid-afternoon Wednesday, 9th September.
The shop’s Tara Green told the “Chronicle”: “One of my volunteers and I scouted the town to see if we could find it and we asked lots of local businesses but it appears no-one has seen it, nor any suspicious behaviour.
“We are a charity and are going to have to replace the bin at a cost of approximately £410, because someone has taken it or moved it.”
Anyone who has seen a red Biffa bin looking lost should contact Oxfam directly at the shop or email oxfamshopf1328@oxfam.org.uk
