BEESTON (Jean). It is with deep sorrow, and much love, that the family mourns the passing of Jean at Douglas Macmillan Hospice with her loving family by her side. Jean, aged 90, of Biddulph, was the devoted wife of the late John; dearly loved mum of Sue and her partner Neil; much-loved and adored granny of Sarah, Rachel, Tim and Carlos; a special sister, sister-in-law and auntie, and a dear friend to many. Jean will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Jean is at St Stephen’s Church, Congleton, on Thursday, 23rd February at 10am. Would family and friends wishing to attend please meet at the church. BOOTH (George Gerard DFM / FLOH). Suddenly but peacefully at rest at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 30th January 2023, surrounded by his loving family, George, of Biddulph, aged 98. The dearly beloved husband of the late Ida; a loving dad to Denis, Denise and Sheena; a dearest father-in-law to Sandra, Peter and Gerard, and treasured granddad, great-granddad, uncle and friend, who will be truly missed. The funeral service will be at English Martyrs’ RC Church, Biddulph, on Friday, 3rd March at 12.45pm, followed by cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. BRERETON (June). Peacefully passed away on 27th January 2023 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, June, aged 84, of Biddulph. The much-loved wife of the late Eric; mum to Dawn, Robert and partner Ange; grandmother to Matthew and Victoria; dear sister of Jill and Roy, and a special friend to many. June will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. BURGESS (Eric). Passed away peacefully at Macclesfield District General Hospital on Tuesday, 24th January 2023, aged 94. The loving husband of his late wife Alison, and father of Nigel and Martin. The funeral service is on Tuesday, 28th February at St James The Great Church, Congleton, at 12.30pm, followed by the committal at Vale Royal Crematorium, Northwich. COPE (Beatrice, “Elaine”). Passed away peacefully on Friday, 27th January 2023 at Park Lane Nursing Home, Knypersley, Elaine, aged 80, of Biddulph. The much-loved and devoted wife of the late Peter; dearly loved mum of Paul and Stephen; loved mother-in-law of Kirstin and a much-loved nan of Erika. MELLOR (Harold). It is with great sadness that the family announces the sad passing of Harold who, on Thursday, 26th January 2023, went to be with the Lord while in the comfort of his loving home. Harold, aged 93, of Biddulph, was a truly beloved and devoted husband of the late Mary; treasured father of Angela and dear father-in-law to John; cherished and most adored granddad of Mary Elizabeth; dearest brother of Joyce, Christine and the late Nora and Len; much loved brother-in-law to Iris and Terry, and a good neighbour and friend to many. Harold will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends. “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Harold will be held at Rood Lane Methodist Church, Congleton, on Monday, 27th February at noon prior to interment at Woodhouse Burial Ground.
