BAGNALL (Ann, née Weston). At rest on 3rd August 2026, at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Ann, aged 90 years, of Gillow Heath. The dear wife of the late Jim; cherished mum of Andrew; dear sister of Arnold; sister-in-law of Glenda; aunt of Andrea and Andrew and Paula and Dave, and great-aunt to James, Nathan and Callum. Ann will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her family and friends. The service will be held at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, on Friday, 4th September at 2pm, followed by a cremation at Carmountside Crematorium. CHADWICK (Cyril). At rest, surrounded by his loving family, at Claybourn Dementia Care Home, on 1st of August 2026, Cyril, aged 91 years young of Gillow Heath. He was the devoted husband of 69 years to Irene; the dearly loved father and father-in-law of Chris, Wendy, Susie, Julian, Laura, Julian and Kate; a much-loved and devoted granddad and great-granddad, and a very special friend to many. Cyril’s family would like to thank the staff at Claybourn Dementia Care Home, Chell, for their loving care and attention to Cyril and his family. A service to celebrate Cyril’s life will be held at 2.30pm on Wednesday, 2nd September at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, followed by interment at Woodhouse Burial Ground. Family and friends wishing to attend, please meet at the church. Family flowers only; donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Cyril. DAVIES (Kenneth Charles). Passed away peacefully at home on 10th August 2026, Ken, aged 97 years, of Drumber Farm, Betchton. A much-loved brother to the late Alan, and a treasured brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. Family flowers only. The funeral service is to be held at St Mary’s Church, Sandbach, on Tuesday, 8th September at 1pm, followed by interment at Sandbach Cemetery. LAWSON (Avril). Passed away at home on 11th August 2026, Avril, aged 80 years, of Scholar Green and formerly Barthomley. Friend to many and loved by all. Family flowers only. The funeral service is to be held at St Bertoline’s Church, Barthomley, on Thursday, 3rd September at 11.30am, followed by interment in the churchyard. MOSELEY (Bernard George). Peacefully at rest on Thursday 6th August 2026 at Leighton Hospital, Bernard, aged 83 years, of Rode Heath. The dearly beloved husband of Sue; devoted dad (Pops) of Stuart; Bernard will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. The funeral Cortege will leave his home in Rode Heath on Monday, 24th August for the service and cremation at Birches Crematorium, Northwich (CW9 7SU) at 1pm. TOMKINSON (Glenys Patricia). Glenys passed away peacefully on Sunday, 9th August 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family, aged 74. The cherished wife of the late Eric; loving mum to Debbie and Suzanne; much-loved nan of Evan and Isla, and respected mother-in-law to Mark and Becky. Throughout everything Glenys faced, she continued to show strength, courage and love. Glenys will be fondly remembered for her warm personality, friendly smile, and love of making happy memories, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 10. 30am on Wednesday, 2nd September. Will friends and family please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Glenys’s life. After the service, everyone is invited to continue sharing memories of Glenys and to enjoy some light refreshments at Congleton Cricket Club, Booth Street, Congleton (CW12 4DG). There is no specific dress code; any colour is welcome. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Glenys’s memory. WHITE (Harold, “Roy”). Peacefully on 9th August 2026, at home, Harold “Roy”, aged 98 years, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Jessie White; loving dad of Gillian, Gary and the late Philip; dear father-in-law of Jackie and the late Nigel; cherished granddad of Neal, Paul, George and Hannah; treasured great-granddad of Amelie, Daisy, Abria, Rupert, Freya and William. The cortege is to leave his home on Friday, 28th August at 10.15am for a service and cremation at the Birches Crematorium at 11am.
