BALL (Ethel, “Jean”). Peacefully on 6th February 2022 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Ethel “Jean”, aged 90, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted wife of the late Gordon Ball; loving mother of Stephen, Simon and Jason, and a cherished foster mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. The cortege leaves her home at 1.15pm on Wednesday, 2nd March for a service at Trinity Methodist Church, Congleton, at 1.30pm, prior to committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. BOULD (Margaret Rose). Passed away peacefully on 8th February 2022, Margaret, aged 79. The beloved wife of the late Ron; much-loved mum to Glynn and Andy, and a treasured nan and great-nan. CARMAN (June). Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022 while at home, June, aged 86, of Biddulph. A loving and devoted wife of Cyril; loved mum of David and Deborah; loved mother-in-law of Nicola and Simon; treasured gran of Victoria, David, Robert, Tom, Edward and William; great-gran of Albert and George, and a special sister-in-law and friend to many. June will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all her devoted family and friends. COOPER (Gordon, “Super Coops”). Passed away peacefully at his home on 10th February 2022, Gordon “Super Coops”, aged 59, of Congleton, and formerly Hulme Walfield. The deeply loved dad of Jenner and Stacey; cherished granddad of Chenai, Cayden, Ella, Bella, Alyvia and Edward; missed and respected best friend and father-in-law to Jack; father-in-law to Lee; dearly loved son and brother, and a much-missed character to all of his friends at The Olde King’s Arms, Congleton. DALE (Ann, née Clulow). Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, 9th February with her family by her side. A devoted mother to her three girls, Alison, Claire and Heather, and her sons-in-law, Michael and Jorge; treasured Mama to Grace and George; loving sister to Stephen, the late Ian, and sisters-in-law Vivian and Pauline Clulow; aunty to Adrian and Neha, and Ian, David and Donna; Nana Ann to Ariana and Sofia, and wife of the late Raymond Dale. JOHNSON (Muriel, Vawdrey). Muriel sadly passed away at Macclesfield District General Hospital on 8th February 2022. MIDDLETON (Michael Gordon, Mike). Mike passed away peacefully in Macclesfield District General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Monday, 14th February 2022, the day before what would have been his 87th birthday. The dearly loved husband of Margaret, Mike was a loving dad, father-in-law, uncle and cousin, and a much-loved granddad and great-granddad. He was very much a character and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, CW9 7SU, at 11am on Tuesday, 1st March. POINTON (Kathleen Ann). Kath passed away peacefully on Saturday, 12th February 2022 at home, aged 73, surrounded by her loving family, who had cared for her. The cherished wife of Arthur; loving mother to Sally and Steven and treasured mother-in-law of Sean and Tracy; devoted grandma of six and great-grandmother of nine. Kath will be lovingly remembered for her warm smile, her sociable, caring nature and her deep love and affection for her many friends and family. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The family will be holding a private cremation. A celebration of life service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, at 11am on Friday, 4th March for anyone who knew Kath. Attendees are kindly invited to wear a “splash of purple” as a tribute, as this was her favourite colour. A reception at Congleton Cricket Club will follow the service. Kath was a very sociable lady who had many friends and varied interests. The family would love to have a copy of any lovely photos that you may have of her for a memorial scrap book. The family are truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolences and cards that have been sent in Kath’s memory.
