Police used what they said was their “big red key” – a battering ram – to smash through the front door of a house in Congleton.
Footage of the raid was uploaded to the social media page of Congleton Police.
Included was the message: “You told us you were concerned about drug dealing at an address in Edinburgh Road, Congleton. This morning we took action using our big red key.
“Keep on telling us the issues that matter so we can tackle antisocial behaviour and criminality head-on – one door at a time.”
The short video showed around seven police officers standing along the path leading to the front door.
They wait as their colleague smashed in the uPVC door with the battering ram.
It took three goes to smash the door open, before the officers rushed in one after another shouting “Police! police!” and “Stay where you are!” Cheshire Police later told the “Chronicle” that no one was arrested or charged following the raid.
