Zuzanna Goebel from Partou Kids Corner Day Nursery and Pre-school in Sandbach has been named Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year at the National NMT Nursery Awards.
In the view of the judges, Ms Goebel “provided transformational leadership following a challenging period, demonstrating resilience, practical leadership and strong special educational needs and disabilities practice.”
In their adjudication, they declared: “Her hands-on approach and ability to build staff confidence and morale through clear direction, reflective practice and a calm, consistent presence, make her a worthy winner.”
She received her trophy from television personality Tom Allen at an evening ceremony in London.
Set in a converted Victorian building half a mile from Sandbach town centre, Partou Kids Corner was rated good in all areas of activity by Ofsted following an inspection earlier this year.
Ms Goebel said: “I am overwhelmed and so happy to have received the award.
“Although my name is on the award, I genuinely believe winning the award was a team effort. The whole team pulled together during a tough period, and we are now better than we have ever been.
“We have a strong team and only want to push forwards.”
