Local band The Extractions are kicking off the series of Friends of Congleton Park shows on Sunday afternoon, playing from 2.30 – 4.30pm.
The band, whose name came from the fact that some members are dentists, are celebrating playing together for 30 years. Their music is a mixture of rock and pop songs from the 1950s through to the 2000s.
Having met through Congleton Round Table, the band has over the years supported many local charity events. This Sunday afternoon will be no different, in that the plan is to ask for donations for East Cheshire Hospice and for the Friends of the Park.
The band thanked the Friends of the Park thank for their support.
The band is playing free of any fees or expenses so all money donated goes to charity.
