The Big Fundraising Northern Soul Night returns to Congleton Town Hall on Saturday.
The event once again aims to raise funds for the NSPCC, while celebrating the best of Northern Soul, Motown and a generous helping of 70s soul.
It will recreate the spirit of the original town hall nights from the 1970s onwards, first hosted by the legendary Sounds Around and later revived by DJs Past and Present.
The DJs Past and Present crew will host the evening, continuing their decades-long tradition of soul events in Congleton and beyond.
The line-up features a roster of respected DJs from across the UK, including Ozz (Blackpool, KHS Stoke, KGH Blackburn, Whitby), Phil Ankers (KHS, Stoke’s Potbank), Geoff Mac (Stoke’s Potbank), Richard Wharfe (SoulTrax–Beartown Radio), Alexis Vanlee (Swinton, The Pug, Hoochi Koochi, East Leigh), and Hitsville Chalky (Blackpool, KHS Stoke, KGH Blackburn, Whitby).
A sell-out crowd is expected, with attendees travelling from both near and far. Advance tickets are available from Congleton Tourist Information Centre at the early bird price of £8. Call 01260 271 095 to reserve, with collection available on the door.
Any remaining tickets will be sold on the night at £10, subject to availability.
Early booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.
For those booking online or from outside the area, tickets can be secured by sending a Friends and Family payment of £8 per ticket to tickets@djspastandpresent.co.uk. These will be ready for collection on the door.
All funds raised will support the NSPCC’s work, including the financing of services such as ChildLine and other support groups for children across the UK.
