BALL (Allan William). Peacefully on 2nd August 2022 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Allan William Ball, aged 93, of Congleton. The dearly loved husband of the late Winnie; cherished dad of Sandra and father-in-law of Neil; loving granddad of Adele, and a dear brother-in-law of Jean. The funeral service and cremation are at Birches Crematorium on Tuesday, 23rd August at 11am. Will relatives and friends please accept this, the only intimation, and kindly meet at the crematorium. CLARKE (Jean). Peacefully on 26th July 2022 at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Jean, aged 87, of Congleton. COPELAND (John Headley). Peacefully on Wednesday, 3rd August 2022 while at home. John, aged 88, of Timbersbrook. The devoted husband of the late Anne, and a very dear friend to Michael, Hayley, Clinton, Isabel, Fern and Darcie. John will be sadly missed by all his friends but fondly remembered. The funeral service is at Christ Church, Eaton, on Monday, 15th August at 1.30pm, prior to interment into the churchyard. EDGE (Eileen May). Passed peacefully at Mount Pleasant Nursing Home on Wednesday, 20th July 2022, aged 92. The dearly beloved wife of the late Arthur; much-loved mother of Katherine, and mother-in-law to Steve, and a loving sister, aunty and friend. The funeral service is on Wednesday, 17th August at 10.30am at Biddulph Methodist Church, prior to interment at St Lawrence’s Church burial ground. GRIMSLEY (Dennis). At peace on 23rd July 2022 at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Dennis John, aged 90, latterly of Claybourne Care Home and formerly of Biddulph, originally of Burton-on-Trent, and retired headmaster of Blythe Bridge High School. The devoted husband of the late Pat; much-loved father of David and Andrew; later in life partner to Beryl, and a kind and loyal friend to many. The funeral is on Thursday, 18th August following a private cremation. A memorial service will take place at St Lawrence’s Church, Biddulph, at 3pm. HOLLAND (Hugh Speakman). Retired dentist. Peacefully passed away on Thursday, 28th July 2022 at home, Hugh, aged 92, of Biddulph Moor. The dearly loved husband of the late Wynn; sadly missed by Jane, Dave, Tom and Nadia, Becca and Paul, and new great-granddaughter Elodie.
