BEARD (Janet Winnifred, nee Merrill). Peacefully on 25th November at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, Janet Winnifred Beard, aged 80. Loving wife to Donald, and a mum, nanny, great-nanny and sister. The funeral service is on Thursday, 16th December at St Leonard’s Church, Warmingham, at 2pm, followed by a private family committal. CARLESS (Catherine). On 4th December 2021, of Fountain Court, Biddulph, and passed away peacefully at Royal Stoke University Hospital, aged 73. The beloved wife of Peter; loving mother of Neil and Barry; dear sister of William, Mary and the late Owen and Esther; cherished auntie of Elizabeth, William, Ceri, Angharad, Bethan and Lowri. Catherine will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A public service will be held at St Eilian Church, Llaneilian, on Monday, 20th December at noon followed by committal at Bangor Crematorium at 1.30pm. COOPER (Cecil James). Peacefully on 3rd December 2021, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Cecil James Cooper, aged 87, of Congleton. DOMLEO (Christine Ann). Suddenly but peacefully at the Prestbury Beaumont, on 6th December 2021, Christine, aged 72, formerly of West Heath, Congleton. The beloved wife of the late Roland; cherished mother of Rebecca and Philippa; wonderful mother-in-law to Jeremy and Chris, and much-loved grandma of Elizabeth, John, Beatrice and Hattie. HORTON (Patricia Ann). Passed away peacefully at Astbury Mere Care Home on 8th December 2021, Pat, aged 81, of Sandbach. The beloved wife of the late John; treasured mum to Richard and Philip, and loving nan. The funeral service is at St Mary’s Church, Sandbach, on Wednesday, 22nd December at 2pm, followed by committal at Vale Royal Crematorium. JONES (Noreen, “Nor”). Peacefully at rest on Sunday, 5th December 2021, at Springbank Nursing Home, Knypersley, in the presence of her loving family, after a long illness fought with great courage and dignity, Noreen, aged 73, of Mount Pleasant, Mow Cop, and formerly of Congleton. The devoted and loving wife of Mick, and a much loved mum, nana, great-nana and sister. Noreen will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The funeral service and cremation will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Wednesday, 22nd December at 9.20am. LAWTON (Pamela, “Pam”). Peacefully at rest on Wednesday, 8th December 2021, at Macclesfield District General Hospital. Pam, aged 93, of Congleton, now reunited with her beloved husband Fred. The much-loved mum of Sarah. Pam will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends and neighbours. The funeral service is to take place at Macclesfield Crematorium on Wednesday, 29th December at 11.40am. No flowers, by request; donations preferred in memory of Pam to The Salvation Army. LEE (Patrick, Pat). Pat passed away peacefully on Saturday, 11th December at East Cheshire Hospice in the presence of his wife and son, aged 90. The cherished husband of Dorine; loving father of Cindy and Simon; much-loved grandpa of Jon, Tim, Sarah, Christy, Andrew and Mark, and much-loved great-grandpa of Leo, Jamie, Harley, Natalie, Oliver, Jenson and Mia. Pat will be lovingly remembered for his sense of humour, strength of character, love of reading, crosswords and flight sim and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 3pm on Tuesday, 21st December. We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to East Cheshire Hospice. MILLWARD (Doreen Mary). Peacefully on Sunday, 28th November 2021, at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Doreen, aged 85, of Biddulph. The devoted mum of Pamela and Pauline; treasured nanna of Liam, Sarah, Katie, Anthony and Nicole; great-nanna of Joshua, Alivia, Ethan, Riley, Archie, Alfie, Isabella and Leighton, and a much-loved aunt and a good friend to many. Doreen will be sadly missed by all her family and friends but fondly remembered. The funeral service will take place at Biddulph Methodist Church on Tuesday, 21st December at noon prior to a committal service at Bradwell Crematorium. OLIVER (Gerald). The death has occurred in Canada of Mr Gerald Oliver, aged 88, formerly of Biddulph. He was the husband of the late Margaret; father of Simon Oliver and Stephen Oliver; granddad of Alwen, Charlotte and Trent, and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Gerald will be greatly missed by all family and friends.

ROBERTS (Vera). Passed away peacefully on 30th November 2021, at her home in Biddulph, Vera, aged 100. Vera will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. The service will take place at Biddulph Methodist Church on Thursday, 23rd December at 10.30am, prior to interment at St Lawrence’s Churchyard. Would all wishing to attend kindly meet at the church.
