BAILEY (Gerald Stanley). Gerald, aged 95, of Congleton. Fell asleep on 2nd December 2022. The devoted husband of Doreen; dear father of David and Stephen; dear father-in-law to Diane and Susan, and cherished granddad of Alice. The funeral service is at St Peter’s Church, Congleton, on Tuesday, 3rd January at noon, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 1.15pm. Donations, if desired, to Cancer Research. BRIGGS (David BS). Peacefully on 18th December 2022. David, aged 84, of Alsager, and formerly of Scholar Green. Dear brother of Rosemary, a keen cricketer and former employee of Wright Manley. The service is at All Saints’ Church, Odd Rode, on Monday, 16th January at 11.15am followed by cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. Will all friends please meet at the church. EDWARDS (Charles Russell, “Russ”). At rest on Tuesday, 13th December 2022, at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Russ, aged 80, from Brown Lees. A devoted husband to the late Joan; cherished dad of Jayne and David; dear father-in-law of Darren; beloved granddad of Emma, and a much-loved brother and uncle. Russ will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all his family and friends. An unattended funeral is to take place, as per Russ’s wishes. GOODWIN (Roy). Roy, aged 78, of Biddulph, unexpectedly passed away at Royal Stoke University Hospital on 8th December 2022. Dad to Sharon and Stephen; granddad to Daniel and Brock; brother to Jean, and Maureen; brother-in-law of Ron, and a treasured family member. Roy was a friend to many. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. The funeral service is at Bradwell Crematorium on Tuesday, 3rd January, at 2pm. HARDING (Stuart Desmond). Passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital on 14th December 2022, Stuart, aged 75, of Malkins Bank, and formerly Haslington. LAING (JAMES, “Jimmy”). Suddenly passed away on Monday, 5th December 2022, aged 72. OUTHWAITE (David John). Suddenly passed away on 11th December 2022, with his loving wife by his side, David, aged 72, of Harriseahead, and formerly of York. The devoted husband of Geraldine; dearly loved father of Lee, and father-in-law of Deborah; a much-loved Papa of Elizabeth, Joanna and William, and a special brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law and uncle. He was a special friend to many. David will be dearly and sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by his devoted family and friends.
