BOOTH (William “Bill”). Peacefully on 12th March 2023, at Clayton Manor Nursing home, William “Bill”, aged 94, of Congleton. The dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Hilda; loving dad of Vivienne and Alison; dear father-in-law of Colin; cherished granddad of Sarah, Kieran and Hannah, and treasured great-granddad of Aidan, Marlowe, Neve and Nancy. The cortege leaves his home at 11.15am on Wednesday, 29th March for a service at St Peter’s Church, Congleton, at 11.30am, prior to interment at Congleton Town Cemetery. BUCKLEY (Pamela). Passed away peacefully on 13th March 2023, Pam, aged 81, of Sandbach. The devoted partner of the late Mervyn Stubbs, and dearly loved by her family and friends. The funeral service is at St Mary’s Church, Sandbach, on Tuesday, 28th March at 11am, followed by committal at Birches Crematorium. HORTON (Ann). Peacefully in the care of Macclesfield District General Hospital on Tuesday, 28th February 2023. The devoted wife of the late Albert and loving mother of Kevin. Ann will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The funeral service is at The Birches Crematorium, Birches Lane, Lach Dennis, Northwich (CW9 7SU), on Monday, 27th March at 11am. MOSELEY (Denis). Passed away peacefully at home on 15th March 2023, Denis, aged 88, of Astbury. The beloved husband of the late Margery; much-loved dad to Richard, Judith, Louise and the late Michael; father-in-law of Bridget, Andrew and Karen, and devoted granddad and “Granddad Great”. The funeral service is at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, on Monday, 3rd April at 11.30am, followed by committal at Birches Crematorium. SHARPES (Edna). Passed away peacefully at St Stephen’s Care Home, Elworth, Sandbach, on Friday, 17th March 2023, aged 87. A cherished wife of the late Jim Stockdale and a beloved wife of Ken Sharpes; loving mum to Alan and Alison and a dearest mother-in-law to Tracy and Gerry; adored grandma to Adam, Emma, Sam, Abbie, Emma and Becky, and a devoted great-grandma to Lotte, Ella, Ava, and James. Edna will be sadly missed by all family and friends. The funeral service is at The Birches Crematorium on Tuesday, 18th April at 11am. SPICER (Roy). Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Heliosa Nursing Home, Congleton, on 10th March 2023, Roy, aged 83. The loved and devoted husband of Annette; cherished dad of Glyn and Kate; treasured granddad of Sophie, Emily, Jack and Alec, and adored great-granddad of Brooke. Roy will be sadly missed by all who knew him, and fondly remembered. The funeral service is at The Birches Crematorium, Lach Dennis, on Wednesday, 29th March at 4pm. STRINGER (Hilda). Hilda passed away peacefully on Saturday, 11th March 2023 at Clayton Manor Nursing home surrounded by her loving family, aged 81. The cherished wife of Graham; loving mother to Garry and Melanie; much-loved nanny of Abby, Lorna and Chelsea; grandma to Esme, Poppy, Arthur and Bobby. Hilda will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, generosity, warm personality, and friendly smile and as someone who enjoyed walking, going to the gym and seeing her friends. Hilda will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral service is at Macclesfield Crematorium at 10.45am on Tuesday, 4th April. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Hilda’s life. Attendees, please wear some colour, at Hilda’s request. The family is truly grateful for all the kind messages of condolence and cards that have been sent in Hilda’s memory. We request that instead of flowers, donations can be made to East Cheshire Hospice. A donation box will be available at the service, however, donations can be sent via the funeral directors.
