
BARBER (Sheila). Passed away suddenly on Monday, 11th May 2026, at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Sheila, aged 79 years, of Congleton. The cherished mum of Jo, Chris and Sam; treasured nana of Niamh and Issy, and dearly missed sister of Mike. Sheila will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. BRINDLEY (Alice). Alice passed away peacefully on Thursday, 21st May 2026, at Newton Court Care Home, surrounded by her loving family, aged 91. She was the cherished wife of the late Deryck Brindley; loving mum to Jackie, and much-loved grandma of Daniel. Alice will be lovingly remembered for her immense artistic talent, love of gardening and conservation, great sense of humour, and strength of character and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral will be held at Birches Crematorium, Northwich, at 9am on Tuesday, 2nd June. Will friends please accept this notice as an invitation to join us in celebrating Alice’s life. Guests are welcome to attend in everyday attire; black clothing is not required. CHARLES (Barbara May). Peacefully on Wednesday, 20th May 2026, at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Barbara, aged 89 years, of Alsager. The devoted wife of the late Frank; beloved sister of Allan, Nora, Gillian, Trevor, and the late Kenneth and Gerald. LOMAS (Mary). Mary Lomas peacefully passed away in the loving care of the staff at The Laurels Care Home, Congleton, on Tuesday, 5th May. Mary was 106 years young, and of Wharf Road, Biddulph. She was the devoted daughter of the late Harry and Ella Lomas. Mary will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her dear friends. A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 10am on Monday, 1st June at Bradwell Crematorium. Friends wishing to attend, please meet at the crematorium. MITCHELL (Patricia, “Pat”), aged 84 years, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Douglas Macmillan Hospice on Wednesday, 6th May 2026, Patricia, formerly of Hollin House Farm, Harriseahead.
