PERCIVAL (Rachel). It is with much sadness that Christine and Lynda announce the passing of their beloved mum, Rachel at Moorland House Care Home, Barton on Sea, on 11th August, aged 94. Devoted wife of the late Donald Percival, dear mother-in-law of Ivor, cherished grandmother to Christopher, Helen, Emma, and Matthew; and great-grandmother to Juniper, Alex, and Jack; treasured sister of Suzanne. Rachel was born at Higher Gorsley Farm, Marton, and a long-time resident of Oak Lane; taking an active part in village life. She will be remembered as a wonderful lady, and deeply missed by family and friends alike. At Rachel’s request, a private cremation took place at New Forest crematorium on 24th August. A memorial service to celebrate Rachel’s life is to be held at the Church of St James and St Paul, Marton; to be arranged in the autumn.
