ADAMS (Claude Douglas). Sadly passed away on 21st December, 2020, at Royal Stoke University Hospital. Claude, aged 96, of Biddulph. Dearly loved husband of the late Ivy Adams, much loved dad of Doug, Lyndene and Nicholas also a cherished granddad and great-granddad of Joanne, Ben, George, Sarah, Henry, Dan, Josh, Mistaya, Sebastian, Jude and Liv. ANTROBUS (Tony). At rest 20th December, 2020. Tony, aged 74, of Kidsgrove, former publican of the Cosey Club, Haslington. The dearly loved husband of Sheila and a dear father, granddad, brother, uncle and friend to many. BIBBY (Frank Harold). Peacefully in his sleep at the family home on Friday, 11th December, 2020. Frank, aged 79, late of Mow Cop. Adored husband of the late Ann, treasured dad of Ingrid and Rachel, and father-in-law to Alan and Alan. Also a loving granddad of Elizabeth, Madeleine and Tom. BOOTH (John “Brian”). Peacefully on Sunday, 27th December, 2020, at RSUH. Brian, aged 80, of Biddulph Moor. A truly and greatly devoted husband of Jean, dearest brother-in-law to Gerald, Christine, Gillian and Bill, loving uncle of Robert, Emma and Gareth, much-loved cousin and a very good friend and neighbour to many. Brian will be dearly missed by all his loving family and many friends. A private funeral and committal service will take place by invitation only. A service of thanksgiving will be held later at Hill Top Methodist Church once the restrictions have been lifted. COWAN (Leonora). Passed away peacefully on 14th December, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at Tall Oaks Nursing Home. Nora, aged 85, of Biddulph. Devoted wife of Billy, dearly loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and auntie. Nora will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her family and friends. DALE (Gerald William). Passed away peacefully at Macclesfield District General Hospital on 26th December, 2020. Gerald, aged 89, of Smallwood. Devoted husband of Cynthia, much loved dad to Lorraine, precious granddad and great-granddad. Funeral service at St Mary’s Church, Astbury, on Saturday, 16th January at 11.30am, followed by interment in the churchyard. Due to current regulations a restricted number of mourners applies. DALE (John, Johnny, JD). After a long illness and surrounded by family, John passed away on 23rd December, 2020, aged 69. Beloved partner to Fredi. HULME (Lilian). Peacefully at rest on Monday, 28th December, 2020, in the care of Goldenhill Nursing Home. Lilian Hulme, aged 91. Wife of the late Harry, dearly beloved mum of Yvonne, mother-in-law of the late Paul. Grandma of Sarah, Martin, Mat and Heather. Cherished great-grandma to Isabelle and William. PASS Cedric (Ced). At rest on Friday, 1st January, 2021, at RSUH. Ced, aged 80, of Knypersley and formerly of Biddulph. The dearly beloved husband of the late Jacqueline, devoted dad of Stephen, loving father-in-law to Hayley, treasured granddad of Amy and Abby, a dearest brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and a dear friend and neighbour to many. Ced will be sadly missed by all his loving family and many friends. A private funeral service will take place by invitation only, due to Government restrictions and social distancing. SIMPSON (Malcolm Thomas). Passed away peacefully at North Staffs Hospital on 27th December, 2020 (covid-19). Malcolm, aged 81, formerly of Park Lane, Congleton. Beloved husband of Sally Simpson, devoted father to Jo and granddad to Mia and Lily. Funeral service at Macclesfield Crematorium on Thursday, 14th January at 10am. Should anyone wish to pay their respects, the funeral car will leave John Garside and Son, Congleton, at approximately 9am on 14th January and will pass through the centre of Congleton, along High Street, past Congleton Town Hall and through Lawton Street, where Malcolm and Sally had their shop and residence from 1975–1990, and then to Macclesfield Crematorium via Mountbatten Way. WELLINGS (Harold Hilton, known as Brian). Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 29th December, 2020, at home, aged 86. The loved father of Kevin and Peter, grandfather of Michael, Robert and Nicholas, and great-grandfather to Alfie. Brian will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. YARWOOD. Dave, aged 81. Sadly passed away on 27th December, 2020, following a short illness. He was a dearly loved husband to Sue for over 52 years and a much loved dad, and father-in-law to Nikki, Lyndsey, Paul and Sean. Dave was born in Mobberley, worked most of his life in Northwich and lived his full married life in Sandbach. A private funeral service will be held at Crewe Crematorium on Thursday, 14th January.
