Delamere gets its own Christmas lights trail

A new Christmas trail featuring enchanting illuminations and classic Christmas tunes will illuminate Forestry England’s Delamere Forest from 26th November to 31st December.

Visitors will be transported into a winter wonderland and see sparkling tunnels of light, walk under giant baubles and beneath trees illuminated in Christmas colours.

The illuminations will be choreographed to a soundtrack of Christmas classics, from the tunnel of light to the mesmerising flickering flames in the fire garden, with Father Christmas also likely to make a visit.

The trail is created by Culture Creative, which specialises in site specific projects in heritage and landscape settings. The company is behind the light trail at Dunham Massey, which always sells out.

The Delamere trail will be open from 4.30pm to 10pm (last entry 8pm). Admission is (advanced) adult from £19.50, child £13.50, family £62 (two adults and two children), free entry for carers and children aged two and under. Parking is £8 per car. Delamere Forest members receive £1.50 per person discount (up to six people).
